The Las Vegas Convention Center expansion project is now more than half-way done

On Thursday, the Las Vegas Convention Center Expansion and Renovation project hit a landmark moment: the half-way point.

The $1.52 billion project will add 1.4 million square feet to the existing 3.2 million square feet of space, according to the LVCVA.

“The growth of our convention center is an incredible opportunity to allow the Las Vegas destination to attract even more visitors,” Lori Nelson-Kraft said. “Last year, we attracted 6.5 million visitors who came for business travel, and that equates to $10.5 billion to our local economy.”
